Al-Aman Fund Launches its annual Ramadan Campaign “Keeping Their Futures Bright Through Education”

Over 3,000 Orphans Benefit From Al-Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans Programs

Al-Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans, an independent NGO founded by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah, launches its 11th annual Ramadan campaign “Keeping Their Futures Bright through Education.”The campaign’s main objective is to encourage donations in support of the education of orphans upon their graduation from orphan care centers.

The campaign seeks to encourage donations during the holy month of Ramadan. It was stated in Resolution No. 7/2010 -issued by the Council of Fatwa, Research and Islamic Studies – that “educating those in need is considered an ongoing Sadaqa, which would benefit the nation.”Moreover, it explains that Zakaah, as specified by the holy Quran, can be offered to orphans.”

Launched in 2003, Al Aman Fund was later institutionalized in 2006 as a not-for-profit organization under the name of Al-Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans. With over 3,000 orphans benefiting from the Fund, approximately 2,000have already graduated and have started on the path towards a professional career.

Offering educational opportunities through vocational training and academic learning, the Fund covers student expenses, including tuition and accommodation fees. Ongoing counseling services are also provided upon  leaving the care centers, which include continuous communication and support that aim to help them define their ambitions and future plans.

Prospective donors are encouraged to call the direct donation number 06-5330500.  A representative from Al-Aman Fund will reach out to  coordinate the collection of donations.  Donors can also directly deposit or transfer donations to the Fund’s account at the Central Bank of Jordan, whose IBAN number is JO37 CBJO 0010 0000 0000 0131 0005 52,or can make deposits to the Fund at any commercial bank in Jordan.
