When Hamza’s father passed away, the difficult circumstances his family went through left his mother with no option but to place him in an orphan care center. Hamza was a bright boy who showed great potential, despite his unfortunate situation. However, he never thought that his dream of continuing his education could ever become a reality. His family’s financial hardships would in no way allow him to pursue a university degree, and the mere thought of him going to university was something he could only daydream about during his free time rather than it being an actual possibility.
When Hamza heard about Al-Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans, the opportunity seemed too good to be true. After his 18th birthday he applied to the Fund. Hamza met all the requirements, got accepted as a beneficiary and was enrolled at an accredited Jordanian university. After he got accepted, and with his hard work and determination, he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, graduating with the highest-grade point average in his class. Al-Aman Fund’s counselors remained in close contact with Hamza during this period, offering him guidance and support; and after his graduation, they secured him with an internship (as part of the Fund’s support scheme number 4: Internship and Employment) with one of the leading Jordanian banks.
After graduating and getting an internship, Hamza still felt that he can take his success a step further and. with the support of Al-Aman Fund, Hamza applied to a Master’s Program in Accounting and got accepted; he is currently enrolled and attending the required classes, under the full financial support of Al-Aman Fund.
Hamza’s personality, confidence and high performance left an impression on the bank where he completed his internship, and they decided to offer him a permanent position at their institution. He accepted the position offered to him and is currently a full-time employee at the bank, with special permission to take the necessary leave time to attend his Master’s Degree classes.
